New Hope® Publishers is pleased to announce the release of Seed to Vision: How God-Inspired Ideas Become Reality by Stephen P. Finn with Trey Dunham. Seed to Vision is a must-read for anyone with a God-sized idea who is unsure what to do next. Peppered with personal stories, former metro-Atlanta police officer turned boys’ home and school founder, Steve Finn, shares the eight key tools God uses to turn a seed of an idea into a vision and ultimately a reality. Readers will be inspired to see that with God nothing is impossible—ideas He has given can become reality.
“In this book, Steve outlines the tools that helped him launch out in obedience—tools that will encourage and help you as you respond to what God has called you to do.” —J. Frank Harrison III, chairman and CEO of Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated
“If you have dreams that you would one day like to see become a reality, then Seed to Vision is a must-read for you. This book will equip you with eight practical tools to help you accomplish your goals as you pursue God’s call on your life.” —Jim McBride, executive pastor of Sherwood Baptist Church and executive producer of Sherwood Pictures
“Seed to Vision is a must-read for leaders who want their God-sized dreams to be realized.” —Dan Reiland, executive pastor, 12Stone Church, Atlanta, Georgia
Recognized as one of the Top 3 leaders in the country by the 2016 John C. Maxwell Leadership Award committee, Steve Finn witnessed firsthand how God makes the impossible possible. After 12 years as a gangs special unit metro-Atlanta police officer, he and his wife felt led to full-time ministry. Following a short tenure as houseparents for Eagle Ranch Children’s Home outside Atlanta, Steve took an even greater leap. Today, he is the founder and executive director for Chestnut Mountain Ranch, a 225-acre Christ-centered home and school for boys in one of the poorest areas of the country. Cautioned that building a ministry of such magnitude in such an area would be nearly impossible, Steve chose to trust that God would bring the seed He had planted to harvest. Together, he and his wife, Dawn, call Chestnut Mountain Ranch home with a family too big to name.
Trey Dunham is a leader, writer, and speaker with a proven ability to attract and motivate audiences. As a teaching pastor of one of West Virginia’s largest churches, his passion for ministry goes beyond church walls. He has opened a popular fair-trade coffee house; organized hundreds of students into volunteer projects; told the story of SustainU, a maker and marketer of recycled, natural-fiber clothing manufactured exclusively at US plants; and founded the National Collegiate Clothing Drive, which generated hundreds of thousands of pounds of clothing for needy families. He holds a doctorate in technology education and has traveled the world, including heading a mission in the jungles of New Guinea and overseeing a hospital construction crew in Nepal. Dunham has enjoyed a close friendship with Steve Finn for nearly a decade and currently serves on the Chestnut Mountain Ranch board of directors. He lives in Morgantown, West Virginia, with his daughter, Grace.
